Undergraduate Research with the U.S. Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory

Research Opportunities with the US Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory

Interested in sustainable energy generation and nanotechnology?  The US Army Construction Engineering Research Laboratory in Champaign, IL is looking for advanced undergraduate, graduate, and postdoctoral researchers for employment starting in Fall 2011.  Successful candidates would be involved in the development of non-rotary wind harvesting techniques and flexile textile-based supercapacitors.  A working knowledge of chemistry, materials, and electrochemistry is required.  The positions include opportunities for high quality journal publications.  Students will benefit from a hands-on experimentation-based approach in an interdisciplinary team environment.  In particular, ChemE, MSE, ECE, MechE, and Physics students are encouraged to apply.  These are civilian positions, but U.S. citizenship is required.
